1. How often will I get a gas bill?

Customers are billed monthly.
E-Bill customers will receive an email notification each month that their PGW gas bill is ready with a link to our website.

2. What payment options are available?

Bills can be paid either by mail, online, by phone, or in person at one of our Customer Service Centers or our alternative payment centers. For more information, go to Pay My Bill

3. Is there a low-income program?

Yes. We offer the Customer Responsibility Program (CRP) and the Conservation Works Program (CWP) for low-income customers. There are also grants targeted at those with low-income. Learn more by visiting our Assistance Programs

4. Is installment billing available?

PGW has a 12-month Budget Plan.
Customers may also make payment arrangements based on their household income and the amount the owe. For more information, go to Budget Plan

5. What if I disagree with my bill?

Talk to a PGW representative by phone or in person.

6. What do I do if I have a complaint and I am not satisfied with PGW's response?

You may contact the PA Public Utility Commission at 1-800-692-7380.

7. What do I do if I can't pay on time?

Don't risk having your gas shut off, call for help before you get behind.

8. Is there an insurance plan for gas appliances?

Yes. PGW offers a variety of service plans through our Parts and Labor Plan. Enrollment into these plans opens in the fall. Learn more by going to our Parts and Labor Plan

9. Can I check my PGW account online?

Yes, PGW customers can view their bills online. To register for this convenient service, visit My Account

10. Can I pay my bill online?

Yes, you can log into your account and pay online with a bank account, VISA, MasterCard, Discover, or debit card. A $2.95 third-party payment processing fee will be charged for each payment.

You can select the Auto Pay option and enroll* in automatic monthly payments where your payment will be electronically deducted from your bank account on your bill due date each month, and it's free!

*Please note that it could take one or two months for your enrollment to be completed. Customers should continue to pay their bill until an Auto Pay message is displayed on the coupon section of the PGW bill statement.

11. Can I pay my PGW bill by credit card?

Yes, you can pay you PGW bill with a credit card online, at one of our Customer Service Centers, or by phone at (215) 235-1000. There is a $2.95 third-party payment processing fee for this service.

12. Do I need to let PGW read my meter or have access to the meter?

Yes, the meter is PGW's property. PGW must have access for purposes of maintenance, operations and meter reading. Failure to allow access to the meter could result in PGW shutting off gas service to the property.
