Under the presently approved tariff, PGW's Senior Citizen Discount Program is not open to new participants. Participants who enrolled in the Program prior to September 1, 2003 are "grandfathered" into the program and will continue to receive the discount. In 2004, PGW petitioned with the Public Utility Commission (PUC) to institute a means-tested program that would allow seniors whose yearly gross household income is below $33,300 to participate.
