About Gas Choice
On June 22, 1999, former Governor Tom Ridge signed the Natural Gas Choice and Competition Act, which enables consumers in Pennsylvania to choose their own natural gas supplier and potentially save money.

The program became effective for Philadelphia firm residential, commercial, and industrial customers on September 1, 2003. View a list of approved suppliers by the Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission (PUC).

Anyone with questions about Gas Choice may contact PGW from 8:00 am - 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday, at (215) 787-1277.

If you smell gas or have an unsafe condition, call (215) 235-1212 immediately.
