FAQs
  What will a supplier require?
Customers must establish their own contract with a supplier and will be bound by any terms and conditions set forth in their separate agreement. To understand a supplier’s obligations to PGW, please refer to Rate Schedule DB (PDF, 486k).

Is the quality of gas the same from a supplier?
Yes. All suppliers are required to meet PGW standards for quality and heating value.

Do I have to switch?
No. Switching to transportation service is entirely up to you. You may find value in participating in Gas Choice, or you may prefer to remain a PGW interruptible customer at this time.

Why would I want to switch to another supplier?
PGW is a state-regulated utility controlled by a tariff. Unregulated gas suppliers have fewer constraints and, therefore, have more flexibility to structure deals and options that may be more tailored to your needs.

If I choose another supplier, will I be able to switch back to PGW?
Yes, depending on contractual obligations to PGW and your supplier. In addition to providing you with our regular distribution and pipeline services, PGW will remain an option for the supply of natural gas to your facility.

If I choose a new gas supplier, who do I call in case of emergency?
PGW will continue to provide you with the efficient emergency service you have come to know and trust. Just call (215) 235-1212 for 24-hour assistance, and an emergency crew will be dispatched.
