PGW schedules free customer conservation workshops

 

(Philadelphia, PA – November 30, 2005) –Because this year it is more important than ever to reduce energy usage, the Philadelphia Gas Works (PGW) is sponsoring a series of customer Conservation Workshops that will be held from December 5 through December 16 at several Philadelphia neighborhood locations.

The workshops are designed to help customers learn ways they can conserve, save and minimize the impact of rising natural gas heating costs. Customers are being urged to take advantage of these free workshops, which have been scheduled as follows:

PGW Conservation Workshops

December 5, 10 a.m-noon, GPASS, 4943 N. 5th Street

December 6, noon-2 p.m., SOSNA St. Anthony Senior Residence, 2309 Carpenter Street

December 6, 1 p.m-2:30 p.m., Stiffel Center, 604 W. Porter Street

December 7, 10 a.m.-noon, Congreso de Latinos, 216 W. Somerset Street

December 7, 6:30 p.m.-8:30 p.m., Falls of Schuylkill Branch Library,
3501 Midvale Avenue

December 9, 10 a.m.-noon, Southwest CDC, 6328 Paschall Avenue

December 12, 10 a.m.-noon, Dixon House, 1920 S. 20th Street

December 15, 10 a.m.-noon, Jones Tabernacle African Methodist Episcopal Church,
2021 W. Diamond Street

December 16, 10 a.m.-noon, West Philly on the Move, 4087 Lancaster Avenue
