PA – December 15, 2006) – Philadelphia Gas Works
(PGW) neighborhood Customer Service Centers will close at
1 p.m. on Friday, December 22, and will reopen the day after
Christmas Tuesday, December 26. Offices also will be closed
on New Years’ day, Monday, January 1.
PGW’s six Customer Service Centers are normally open
from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. on the designated days as follows:
Center City, 1137 Chestnut Street – Monday, Tuesday,
Thursday and Friday (Saturday hours have been discontinued).
Frankford, 4410 Frankford Avenue – Tuesday, Thursday
and Friday.
Germantown, 210 W. Chelten Avenue – Tuesday, Wednesday
and Friday.
North Philadelphia, 1337 W. Erie Avenue – Monday,
Wednesday and Thursday.
South Philadelphia, 1601 S. Broad Street – Monday,
Wednesday and Thursday.
West Philadelphia, 5230 Chestnut Street – Monday,
Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday.
As part of PGW’s holiday schedule, on December 22
PGW’s telephone Customer Call Center will handle billing
inquiries from 7 a.m. until noon, and requests for service
from 7 a.m. until 6 p.m. The Call Center will take emergency
calls only from 6 p.m. Friday, December 22, through Monday,
December 25, and from 6 p.m. Friday, December 29, through
Monday, January 1, 2006. The Call Center will operate on
a normal schedule on Tuesday, December 26, Friday, December
29 and Tuesday, January 2.
PGW’s telephone Call Center normally operates Monday
through Friday, from 7 a.m. until 6 p.m. The number for
appliance service is 215-235-2050. The number for billing-related
calls is 215-235-1000. PGW’s 24-hour Low Income Home
Energy Assistance (LIHEAP) Hotline number is 215-684-6100.
Gas leaks or gas-related emergencies should be reported
anytime at 215-235-1212. Customers also may register view
to their account online at PGW’s Web site, www.pgworks.com.
