PGW Announces Decrease in Natural Gas Costs This Fall

Average PGW residential heating customers will pay nearly five percent less per month

(Philadelphia, Pa. – September 3, 2013) – Philadelphia Gas Works (PGW) today announced that natural gas rates will decrease this fall for PGW’s residential, commercial, industrial and municipal customers. The new rate reflects what PGW pays for the gas. The rate for residential customers, for instance, will be adjusted for the next three months from its current $1.49 per hundred cubic feet (Ccf) to $1.41 per Ccf for residential customers.

PGW Offices Will Be Closed on Labor Day, Monday, September 2, 2013

(Philadelphia, Pa. – August 29, 2013) – Philadelphia Gas Works’ (PGW) Customer Service Centers will be closed on Monday, September 2, 2013, in observance of Labor Day. Its Commercial Resource Center will also be closed. PGW’s Residential Customer Call Center will remain open on September 2, for emergency calls only.

Redesigned www.pgworks.com, Facebook page and Twitter feed unveiled this week

The new website contains all the same relevant information as its predecessor, but is re-engineered so users can now find everything they need in three clicks or less. At the new pgworks.com customers can more easily access their account functions, find out where we’re undertaking major infrastructure projects and learn about ways to save energy and money.
