On Thursday, September 4, PGW employees delivered new backpacks and schools supplies to homeless youth at The Salvation Army Red Shield Family Residence (715 North Broad St., Phila., PA 19123). Supplies were donated by PGW employees as part of an internal PGW campaign to support children and education in Philadelphia. Youth from the Red Shield Family Residence were on hand to meet with PGW employees and accept donated supplies including backpacks, folders, pens, pencils and other items that educators require students to have in the classroom.

Philadelphia Gas Works Announces Decrease in Natural Gas Costs This Fall

Average PGW residential heating customers will pay nearly seven percent less per month

(Philadelphia, Pa. – September 2, 2014) – Philadelphia Gas Works (PGW) today announced that natural gas rates will decrease this fall for PGW’s residential, commercial, industrial and municipal customers. The new rate reflects what PGW pays for the gas. The rate for residential customers, for instance, will be adjusted for the next three months from its current $1.51 per hundred cubic feet (Ccf) to $1.40 per Ccf for residential customers.

PGW Offices Will Be Closed on Labor Day, Monday, September 1, 2014

(Philadelphia, Pa. – August 28, 2014) – Philadelphia Gas Works’ (PGW) Customer Service Centers will be closed on Monday, September 1, 2014, in observance of Labor Day. Its Commercial Resource Center will also be closed.
