Small and Local Businesses
Commitment to Small and Local Businesses
PGW is committed to encouraging the growth of companies with certification designations as small and local businesses. Every year, we actively seek vendor and subcontractor participation among these companies as a reflection of our overarching goals and local economic responsibilities for the Philadelphia region.
The Small Business Administration and the City of Philadelphia can provide certification for these vendors, where applicable.
Commodities purchased by PGW:
| Automotive (Vehicles & Supplies) | Industrial Supplies |
| Construction | Pipe, Valves & Fittings |
| Electrical Supplies | Power Tools |
| Hand Tools | Promotional Items |
| Hardware | Rubbish Removal |
Additionally, PGW has opportunities for Professional Services which include the following:
| Advertising | Information Technology |
| Consulting | Temporary Staffing |
| Engineering | Training |
| Environmental Services |
If your small and local business can provide any of the noted commodities or services, please contact John Byars, Director, Procurement and Economic Outreach.
