Parts & Labor Plan

Customers without a plan must contact a third-party licensed plumber or HVAC contractor on their own for repairs or maintenance on their gas appliances.

The following systems are not covered by the PGW Parts & Labor Appliance Protection Plan:

• House heaters with power burners
• Wall-mounted water heaters and heating boilers
• Rooftop heating and air conditioning equipment or any other unit requiring a ladder to access
• Package unit electric central air conditioners
• (e.g., wall insert model Patco & Fedders) – can purchase
• Heating only contract
• Pool heaters
• Heat pumps
• Electric Central Air Conditioner utilizing an air handler
• Wireless Thermostats
• Equipment Interface Modules / Wireless sensor

If you are not covered under a PGW Parts & Labor Plan, it is your responsibility to hire a certified contractor when something goes wrong with an appliance. You risk getting hit with expensive maintenance fees and unreliable service. When you join PGW’s Parts and Labor Program, repairs, inspections and maintenance are covered. If something goes wrong, we’ll be there to fix it. No extra cost, no charge.
