PGW is a proud Zero Waste Partner to the City of Philadelphia. Since 2008, PGW’s recycling program has diverted over 1,500 tons of waste from landfills.
PGW’s fleet includes Electric Vehicles (EVs) and compressed natural gas (CNG) vehicles — both are cleaner than gasoline and help reduce smog and greenhouse gas emissions.
Launched in 2022, our corporate composting program has already diverted more than 33,760 pounds of food waste from landfills. It's a small but powerful step in our journey toward zero waste.
