LIHEAP IS OPEN - APPLY TODAY!
Income eligible customers can apply for up to $1,000 toward their PGW heating bills with LIHEAP (Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program).
LIHEAP is a federal grant available to renters, homeowners and students to pay their heating bills and restore gas service in the event of a shutoff or heating emergency.
If you qualify, up to $1,000 in free money is applied directly to your PGW natural gas bills and does not need to be repaid.
Did you know:
- A LIHEAP grant may cover up to $1,000 of your PGW bill.
- That’s more than the average cost to heat a home with natural gas for a year.
- Every year, about half of eligible households miss out on LIHEAP simply because they don’t apply.
- LIHEAP grants are first-come, first-served and available to renters and homeowners. LIHEAP grants do not have to be repaid.
You can still apply for LIHEAP if you received the LIHEAP Crisis Grant earlier this year.
