PGW Launches “PGW Digs Your Design” to Promote Safety Awareness Across Philadelphia

PHILADELPHIA (September 22, 2026) – Safety is the top priority at Philadelphia Gas Works (PGW). This fall PGW is launching its first-ever student fleet truck signage design and art competition. Students who reside and attend school in Philadelphia are invited to help highlight the importance of safety. Safety is essential in our lives because it protects us from harm, preserves our well-being, and creates a stable foundation where we can live, work, and grow. Winning designs will be featured on PGW fleet trucks, helping spread safety messages across every neighborhood in the city. So put on your creative hard hats!
When: Submissions are open from Tuesday, September 22, 2026 – Friday, November 13, 2026
How: Philadelphia K-12 students are invited to draw and / or design a custom truck sign to be entered into the citywide competition. Submissions will be categorized with one winner selected from each grade band: K-2, 3-5, 6-8, and 9-12. Only one submission per student will be accepted. AI-generated graphics or submissions will not be considered. Copyrighted items/characters, inappropriate language or graphics, violence, or political references are prohibited under PGW’s zero-tolerance policy.
