PGW EXPANDS COMMUNICATION TO NEIGHBORHOODS, JOINS NEXTDOOR
First natural gas utility in the nation to partner with Nextdoor, the private social network for neighborhoods
(Philadelphia, Pa. – May 7, 2015) – Philadelphia Gas Works (PGW) announced today it is joining Nextdoor (nextdoor.com), the free and private social network for neighborhoods, to increase communications with residents across Philadelphia. Residents all over the city can now receive messages directly from PGW and get updates on PGW pipeline improvement projects scheduled for their neighborhoods, natural gas safety tips and company service updates.

(Philadelphia, Pa. – April 1, 2015) – Philadelphia Gas Works’ (PGW) six Customer Service Centers will be closed on Friday, April 3, for Good Friday. Its Commercial Resource Center and Residential Customer Call Center will also be closed.

PGW Announces Decrease in Natural Gas Costs This Spring
Average PGW residential heating customers will pay 7.7 percent less per month.
(Philadelphia, Pa. – March 2, 2015) – Philadelphia Gas Works (PGW) today announced that natural
gas rates will decrease this spring for PGW’s residential, commercial, industrial and municipal
customers. The new rate reflects what PGW pays for the gas. The rate for residential heating
customers, for instance, will be adjusted for the next three months from its current $1.37 per hundred
cubic feet (Ccf) to $1.25 per Ccf.
